Brownambo's New Itinerary
Kayaking the Hood Canal
The Hood Canal's protected waters are ideal for kayaking, beginners, novices, families, and seasoned paddlers alike. Many sheltered coves, bays, and inlets provide calm waters with serene beaches and beautiful landscapes. Popular launch sites include Pt. Whitney, Pleasant Harbor, Seal Rock Campground, Yelvik's Boat Ramp, Dosewallips State Park, and Triton Cove, among others. Broad Spit County Park is an undeveloped, boat-in only, “leave no trace” kayaking destination that permits camping on the east side of the Bolton Peninsula.

Some are easy walks on fores trails, others reached via paved, wheel-chair accessible paths, still more are in the backcountry of Olympic National Park. Two falls can only be reached by boat.
