Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau

What We're Famous For

Have you heard of Ruby Beach, Kalaloch, the Victorian Seaport of Port Townsend or the Sequim Lavender Festival? Or Hurricane Ridge, the Hood Canal or Cape Flattery? These places and many more await you on Washington's Olympic Peninsula. The dominant feature of the Peninsula is Olympic National Park with nearly one million acres of playground in rain forest valleys, alpine meadows and 60 miles of unmatched wilderness coastline. Outside the Park is Olympic National Forest with another half-million acres of  recreation lands. Add to that our world-class state and county parks and our small friendly communities, and you begin to understand why we are so proud of where we are! In all the globe, places with as many breathtaking vistas, varied experiences and wonderful art and cuisine only come together like this in this place we call home.

Welcome, enjoy and we hope you have a wonderful experience here.

Operation Olympic Hero

Operation Olympic Hero is a program designed to honor, welcome and extend a small token of support to our armed forces and their families for their dedication, service and sacrifice to our country.  OPVB is proudly supported in this effort by more than 70 businesses, festivals and individuals across the peninsula.

 Tourism Enhancement Grants

In an effort to enhance long-term economic growth through tourism, the Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau distributes funds through a grant program for investment in tourism enhancement projects.  In order to facilitate as many projects/events as possible, grant funding usually will not exceed $5000 per project/event.  The Clallam County Tourism Enhancement Fund is designed to encourage tourism-related projects/events in Clallam County that attract overnight destination guests.

The Tourism Enhancement Fund dollars come from revenue generated by the 2% hotel/motel tax on lodging facilities in Clallam County.  Any organization that includes tourism marketing and/or development among its major activities may apply for funds under this program.  As indicated by the Washington State Legislature these funds are to be used primarily for paying for tourist promotion and for the acquisition and/or maintenance of tourism-related facilities.  Please click on Tourism Grants for guidelines and application forms.
