Don Adler plays acoustic fingerstyle guitar with a passion that has quickly earned him a reputation as Vancouver’s “best kept little secret”. Don is a world-class fingerstyle guitarist with a unique style of playing which incorporates fingerpicking with simultaneous percussion on the soundboard to create a wall of sound.

Soroptimist Gala Garden Show

Soroptimist International of Sequim has a wonderful Gala Garden Show scheduled for Saturday, March 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is our 18th year! Admission is $5, free for children under 12.

This is a 2-day garden show with approximately 60 vendors. We also present the Master Gardener speaker series on both days. Available will be light breakfast and lunch. We will be raffling off a huge array of garden items and silent auction of the art of our featured artist.

Concerts in the Woods – “The Fire Inside“

The Fire Inside performs smoldering Celtic music with heel-clicking intensity. Drawing from a collection of traditional and trend-setting influences, The Fire Inside will stoke your musical fire with their fiddle, uilleann pipes, bodhran, whistles, guitar, concertina, mandolin and scorching vocals.  Concerts are for all ages, admission is by donation.

Concerts in the Woods – “The Honeyville Rascals“
April 2, 2016

The Honeyville Rascals are a jazz and blues inspired roots duo with the driving rhythms of a tenor, concert and baritone ukuleles supporting the vocal melodies and harmonies of Sunga Rose and Michael Alexander. Sunga sings and plays a concert “paddlele” while Michael sings and plays a 6-string tenor “liliu”. Both take turns on Baritone uke as well, and Michael has been known to bring his banjo along.

Concerts in the Woods – “Brenda Xu“
April 16, 2016

After releasing a debut EP and a full-length record in her hometown of San Diego to numerous accolades, ambient-folk artist, Brenda Xu(pronounced “shoo”) re-located to Seattle where she has just released her third album. Her ethereal voice has been compared to artists such as PJ Harvey, Daughter, and Aimee Mann.  Concerts are for all ages, admission is by donation.
