Community Tree-Planting at Snow Creek Uncas Preserve
February 22, 2014
Port Townsend

Dig in your heels and a shovel to help Jefferson Land Trust and NOSC reforest the banks of Snow Creek meandering through the new Snow Creek Uncas Preserve.

This level nature preserve is dominated by old Bigleaf maples above a thick carpet of moss. One Sitka spruce remains as a testament to the conifer forest that used to be. Help us re-introduce spruce, cedar, and more to this Preserve to help shade the gravel bars and cool the creek that provides prime salmon habitat. Event details:
Parking is not available at the Preserve, which is along W Uncas Rd and Hwy 101.
