Sequim Lavender Festival and Sequim Lavender Farm Faire
With more than 30 lavender farms in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley, it's no surprise that Sequim is known as the Lavender Capital of North America (R). During the third weekend of July, visit us for the annual Sequim Lavender Festival (R) and the new Sequim Lavender Farm Faire/Lavender in the Park. It's a weekend packed with farm tours, demonstrations, crafts, food, music and all things lavender.
Fly-in at Sekiu Airport annually in May
Fly over the Swiftsure boat races on the Strait of Juan de Fuca and land at the Sekiu Airport for a brunch and festivities. It happens every May on Memorial Day weekend.
Wooden Boat Foundation
At the heart of Port Townsend's Victorian seaport, this non-profit community organization works to preserve and celebrate traditional maritime skills and culture through education — providing programs and water classes for adults and youth. The yearly Wooden Boat Festival that is held the weekend after Labor Day highlights these activities.
