 Join Art and learn his world-famous approach to nature photography on this amazing weekend workshop. This course will shape the way you look through the lens as well as how you look at your photographs. Experience the opportunity to work in the field side by side with Art learning everything from how to capture the expanse of a landscape to photographing the smallest detail.

Gallery Walk

Please join us the first Saturday evening of every month when the art galleries in Port Townsend extend their usual business hours from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. The lights stay on and the music plays as the gallery's fill with locals, as well as visitors to meet the featured artist's and view their new work.

Strait Art 2012

STRAIT ART returns to the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center for 2012. The showcase of 29 artists who make their homes in Clallam and Jefferson Counties will again be presented in an expanded space through a simultaneous satellite show at nearby Peninsula College, March 18 – May 13. In a biennial collaboration with PC’s art department the show will spill over to the PENINSULA COLLEGE GALLERY in the Pirate Union Building.Hours at the Center are Wed-Sun, 11-5; at the college, Mon-Fri, 7 am - 8 pm

Erik Sandgren Artist Lecture

Lecture by artist, Erik Sandgren, whose mythic paintings are featured in his exhibition Ghost Stories, which continues through March 10. Sandgren will speak about his paintings which mix direct observation and inspiration in the plein aire mode and complex studio compositions to imagine spirits of the aboriginal past springing from the modern Northwest landscape.

OLYMPIC DRIFTWOOD SCULPTORS - 4th Annual Winter Show

The Olympic Driftwood Sculptors will be having their 4th Annual Winter Show on March 10 & 11, at the Dungeness River Audubon Center at Railroad Bridge Park, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim. Show hours are 10am to 4pm.

Admission is free & cameras are welcome.

Unfinished driftwood & handcrafted driftwood pendants will be for sale.

There will be a display of sculptures by numerous artists. In addition, we will feature our "Aviary" - bird related sculptures.

2012 FIRST FRIDAY LECTURE SERIES In the Council Chambers of Port Townsend's historic city hall (540 Water Street) on the first Friday of each month at 7 p.m.

September 7 — Jonathan Evison talks about his novel West of Here, an account of the Elwha Dam and the development of the Olympic Peninsula that traces generations of families from 1890 to 2006.
