Knitting and Fiber Arts Throughout the Olympic Peninsula

Given the temperate year-round climate, the Olympic Peninsula is filled with fibers arts activities from  knitting groups to festivals to farm tours featuring sheep, llamas and alpacas. You'll find everything from felting to spinning, knitting, weaving, quilting, clothing, and even hand-dying, throughout the area.

Open Knitting Group
Meets Thursdays from 4:30-6:00 pm at The Veela Cafe, 133 E. First St., Port Angeles. (360-452-5040). All skill levels are welcome.

North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival
Held the 2nd weekend in October in Sequim. Check out the website for the latest information.

The Shepherd's Festival
Held during Memorial weekend in Sequim. Sponsored by the North Olympic Shuttle and Spindle Guild, the festival includes vendors and demonstrations including spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet, and sheep herding plus much more. The Clallam County Fair
Something for everybody, but fiber fans can see exhibits of various fiber-related crafts from felting to quilting along with demonstrations and the critters who produce the fiber. For dates and details, check out the Callam County Fair website.
