Quilcene Historical Museum

The Quilcene Historical Museum will celebrate its 20th Anniversary and re-opening for the season on April 16 from 12-3pm with grilled hot dogs, beverages, birthday cake and card; music by Denny Secord and the "Northwest Country Boys". Charter and Founding Members are special guests, but all are invited to this free family-fun event.

The Quilcene Historical Museum is a treasure box of artifacts, photos and documents that preserve the past and present of South Jefferson County and its Hood Canal communities of Quilcene, Lake Leland, Brinnon, Coyle, Dabob, Discovery Bay and spots in between.

Special events will include the reopening celebration on April 16, Brinnon Shrimp Fest on Memorial Day week-end, Quilcene Alumni Reunion luncheon on June 25, All Quilcene Yard Sale on July 16, Wine Tasting Gala on August 5, Quilcene Fair on September 17.

There are new exhibits on Brinnon, shellfish, Native Americans, millinery, businesses and men-in-uniform to join farming, logging, mining, schools and stores. Donations are appreciated.
